Lumad Hand-Made Beaded Necklace

Red, yellow, white, and black hand-made beaded Necklace crafted by Lumad (non-muslim indigenous people of Mindanao) women. Lumad beading practices are traditionally connected to Lumad ceremonies. With the occupation of their land and development of their culture in relation to land defense and resistance their beading practices have also become part of their struggle. This necklace was made specifically for supporters of their struggle to spread of awareness, literally wearing their solidarity with the Lumad struggle.
